Mr. & Ms. GIST 2008 Coronation Night

The Winner for the Mr. & Ms. GIST 2008 is candidate number…..

            This is the most awaited and exciting part of the program during the coronation night of the pageant but before we announce who the winner is… we would like to talk on how this pageant started… One of GIST’s traditions is the development of each and every student by showing their talent, knowledge, skills, grace and beauty through our school’s most prestigious event which is the Mr. & Ms. GIST Pageant… this started way back 1997 and still continues to evolve and develop students through its different activities before the pageant proper like the Modeling Skills, Question and Answer skills, Personality Development plus the prestige of being the ambassador of goodwill in all our GIST Branches.

            This years theme is “GIST – The advocate of Nature” … undoubtedly GIST have big concern to our Mother Nature… which was shown in the film entitled “MONTEZORRO” which primarily focus on the major pollutions that is presently happening  in our country. This was exceptionally

acted by the GIST Faculty members together with our beloved President & School Director Mr. Jose O. Montenegro as Zorro. There was an endless possibility on the recent Coronation night of the pageant due to the appreciation of our sponsors an additional awards was given to our candidate which are the following: The Ms. Avon Award wherein candidate receives Avon cosmetics product, The Mr. & Ms. Job Finder Award where each candidates receives One thousand Pesos and the Counselor Bernard Zapanta Scholarship award wherein they gave 100% scholarship for 1 year to their chosen candidate. Our lovely and gorgeous candidate also received special awards like the Mr.  & Ms. Internet, Mr. & Ms. Photogenic, Mr. & Ms. Best in swimwear to name few of the special awards given during the Coronation night of the Mr. & Ms. GIST last October 21, 2008 @ Teatro Marikina, Marikina City.
