GIST Faculty… Building, Bridging and Bonding as one Family

            Gateways Institute of Science & Technology Faculty & Staff gathered once again as one in thoughts and in deeds without worrying about the student’s lessons, session plan, grades, school pressures and activities without the stress… because we are in for mountain climbing, spiritual development, camaraderie and fun at the Asian Center of Scouting, Mount Makiling, Los Baños Laguna last October 17 to 19, 2008 which was made possible through the initiative of our President & School Director Mr. Jose O. Montenegro together with the help of the International, Regional and Council Training Team Member, the Scout Executive of Pasig City and the NSTP faculty member of GIST Mr. Jovendo S. Parra which was assisted by another International trainer who also conducted a training in Switzerland, Australia and Japan, presently the Boy Scout of the Philippines Regional Commissioner for Program Mr. Estelito A. Lualhati. These people made the difference in our life plus the fact that it made us realize that we are one as a family.

            Holding one’s hand, sing & dance is one of the most memorable songs we learned from our International Trainer… yet what’s really exciting are the team building games which we really enjoyed most and definitely made us realize the importance of unity and oneness amongst the team member.

            Going to one of the historical mountain will never be complete without camping and hiking…. We are proud to say that the Faculty has climbed its way up to Mt. Makiling up to the historical Holy Trinity Church … it was very excruciating, tiring yet reaching the top was an awesome and wonderful experience… seeing the wonders of nature made us realize on how important it is to preserve our nature plus the fact that we have sweat all our fats away and hopefully gain not only muscles but the unity of making it to the top with friends and colleagues beside you.

            Finally, our heart warming recollection… which has definitely clears all the issues, breaks all the walls and destroy the bondage of pains, hatred and anger through our heartfelt open forum… Truly, this activity is the best Team Building ever… GIST Family is now building, bridging and bonding as One Family.
